Scotsman Rugby Show: autumn Tests | club round-up
SCOTLAND scrum-half Greig Laidlaw has backed interim coach Scott Johnson to lift the team to victories in the RBS Six Nations despite securing just one win from three autumn Tests.
In this week’s Scotsman Rugby Show, in association with Ginger Grouse, Laidlaw, who played all three Tests and captained Scotland in the 28-0 defeat to South Africa, urges supporters to be optimistic after Scotland ran Australia close in the final match, and admits that the players are taking confidence from the style of rugby Johnson wants them to play.
We feature the views of Johnson, Laidlaw, 50-cap lock Jim Hamilton and Ben Mowen, the Wallaby skipper, who believes that Scotland have closed the gap on the leading nations in recent years and disputes the fact that Australia may have fallen off the pace.
We also look back on Gala’s win over Ayr in the RBS Premiership and feature some tries from Border Rugby TV. We are keen to provide coverage of club rugby games across the country but rely on clubs to supply footage to us for use in the show. Any clubs with clips of their tries should get in touch with us at: [email protected].
