GORDON HERD and Keith Hogg have been called up to represent Junior Scotland in their forthcoming matches.
And the Rose pair could also be joined by team-mate, Mark Bradley, who has been put on stand-by for matches with Petershill, on Sunday, and the Republic of Ireland, the following Saturday.
Sunday's encounter will mark the official opening of Petershill's 2000-capacity stadium in Springburn, Glasgow, while the clash with Ireland gives the Scots an opportunity to avenge April's 4-2 defeat in Dublin.
It's a challenge which Rose striker, Herd, who featured in that game, is relishing.
And the 26 year old is vowing to re-pay Jim O'Donnell's faith in him.
He said: "I didn't get much of an opportunity to show what I can do in the last game so I was really pleased to get called up again.
"As far as I'm led to believe, Sunday involves a training session in the morning and then a game.
"I think Jim will realise that most of the boys will have played the day before and give everyone a run out.
"Both teams are very even. I think a lot of the Irish boys have had several caps, whereas we were relatively inexperienced last time.
"They're quite physical but it's nothing we can't deal with. I've got absolutely no doubt that if click on the day we're capable of winning."
Gordon was also delighted with the inclusion of team-mate, Keith Hogg, who will earn his first cap as a Rose player, but reckons there were one or two others at the club who must also have been knocking on the door.
He said: "It's brilliant to be capped with a team-mate and Hoggy thoroughly deserves it.
"He'd been capped while at Glenafton but never for us.
"He's probably been our most consistant player in recent months.
"But I think there are a couple of others who could have been in with a shout.
"I was surprised Tank (Stuart McArthur) wasn't included. He gets so many goals from midfield but it's possible that Jim hasn't seen enough of him yet.
"I don't know who he's got lined up for that position but hopefully Tank will be there in future squads."
The match on Sunday kicks-off at 2pm.
