Three points for Linlithgow Rose amateurs

Rose Amateurs got back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Cumbernauld in the league.

LRCFC controlled the early stages but Cumbernauld earned a dubious penalty after a mistake from the Rose defence. Going behind seemed to spur the Amateurs on and they fought to get back on level terms.

Blair Davidson capitalised on a goalkeeping error and Andrew Cochrane hit home a free-kick into the top corner to put the Rose 2-1 ahead before half time.

Cumbernauld began to lose their discipline and went down to 10 men after a poorly aimed punch at Rose midfielder, Ally Sneddon.

Brad Niven finished off a well worked free-kick routine to seal the game and LRCFC played keep-ball for the remainder. Manager
Dave Favell was delighted with the win and is hoping it will kick-start a good run of victories.
