In defiance of their headliners’ big hit ‘‘Why Does It Always Rain On Me’’ organisers of this year’s Party at the Palace have promised blue skies on August 8 and 9.
And, if it rains, you’ll be able to buy next year’s ticket for half price.
Festival bosses had already promised to deliver “The Biggest Party of The Summer” with exclusive headline performances from Travis and Nile Rodgers amongst others.
But now they are going a step further and are offering a guarantee that it won’t rain at their party!
Event organiser Peter Ferguson said: “It makes perfect sense to us - although we know some people might think we’re joking, we’re not!
‘‘We guarantee that it won’t rain on the weekend of August 8 and 9 at Linlithgow Palace.
“And of course we expect endless sunshine! If by any chance it does rain, then we’ll guarantee a 50 per cent reduction on tickets for next year’s event.
“It seems quite obvious to us that a lot of people are put off buying tickets in advance to an outdoor event in Scotland in case it rains – so this is the ideal solution.
“We’ve told our partners at Lidl to bring in extra supplies of sun cream to stop us from burning and the team from McEwan’s will be on site to help keep us cool and hydrated.’’
