There are a number of events and activities happening across the district that will help to keep the family busy. Here we’ve listed just some of the things happening locally over the Easter holidays to help give you some ideas.
13. Step back in time at Duncarron Medieval Village
The 12th century fortified village of Duncarron is opening its gates for its Spirit of Spring weekend on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7. It’s a chance to travel back in time and meet the Medieval visitors with something for the whole family to enjoy. There will be Easter games, face painting, bouncy castle, meet the unicorns and highland cows, story telling of the Celtic Easter celebrations, live music and archery and axe throwing, as well as a food court offering refreshments. 14. Eggsplore Blackness Castle
Complete a historic Easter trail through the castle as you try to work out who has been stealing all the Easter eggs. If you solve the mystery a chocolate treat awaits. The Easter trail is running from Friday, March 29 to Monday, April 1. Normal castle entry fees apply. Photo: Michael Gillen
15. Spring holiday craft sessions
Hop along to your local library during the holidays to create something eggcellent to take home. Expect bunnies, Easter decorations and more.Craft sessions are for school-aged children who love to make and create. Craft session tickets, priced £3, are available in advance from the library (cash only). 16. ROOTS Easter
Roots HHFS Food Bank will be running a series of events over the Easter weekend. There will be a bunny visit in Gala Park, Denny from 1pm to 3pm on Friday, March 29. Fun days will be held on Saturday, March 30 at Hollandbush Park and on Sunday, March 31 at Duncan Stewart Park.
